This painting came from one of those dreams that sticks with you long after you wake up. I saw this strange figure standing in the woods, kind of watching, kind of blending in. It was unsettling in that way dreams can be when they feel too real. When I woke up, I couldn’t stop thinking about it... so naturally, I painted it.
The colors are deep and moody; cool shades of green and gray mixed with warm, ghostly light that seems to pulse through the trees and bright crimson accents. The haunting figure almost fades into the background, but its pale face catches your eye and holds it there. To me, it’s about how our fears and anxieties show themselves to us in strange ways.
